Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Madonna del Piano 2015 (Valdicava Madonna del Piano, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG) is Valdicava's Riserva and one of Montalcino's most sought-after wines. The 2015 has been rated 100 points by James Suckling and 97 by Wine Spectator.

Taste and ageing

Dark berries, plum, truffle, violet and leather, rich and intense yet refined, with silky tannins and a very long finish. It will keep for 30 years or more.

Vineyard and winemaking

Madonna del Piano is the vineyard of the same name in northern Montalcino. The wine is made only in the best years from vines of up to 50 years and matures for five years in barriques and large Slavonian oak casks.
