Description
Prunotto Barolo Bussia 2021 (Prunotto Bussia, Barolo DOCG) is single-vineyard Barolo from the famous Bussia cru in Monforte d'Alba. The 2021 has been rated 95 points by both Vinous and James Suckling.
Taste and ageing
Powerful and deep, with dark cherries, roses, liquorice and spice, firm but fine tannins and a long finish. It will keep for 25 years or more.
Vineyard and winemaking
Bussia is one of Barolo's largest and best-known vineyards, with south-facing slopes in Monforte d'Alba. The wine is 100% Nebbiolo and is aged in oak casks before further rest in bottle.
About Prunotto
Prunotto was founded in Alba in the early 1900s and has belonged to the Antinori family since the 1990s. The house is known for its Barolo and Barbaresco from some of the Langhe's best vineyards.
