Michele Chiarlo La Court Nizza Riserva 2020 (Michele Chiarlo La Court, Nizza DOCG Riserva) is top-class Barbera from the La Court vineyard in Nizza. The 2020 has been rated 95 points by Falstaff.
Taste and ageing
Ripe cherries, plums and spice with fresh acidity and soft tannins. It can be enjoyed now and kept for 15 years or more.
Vineyard and winemaking
La Court lies in Castelnuovo Calcea in the heart of Nizza, one of Piedmont's best zones for Barbera. The wine is 100% Barbera and is aged in oak before further rest in bottle.
About Michele Chiarlo
Michele Chiarlo founded his house in 1956 and has since helped lift Barbera from an everyday wine to one of Piedmont's great wines. Nizza became a DOCG in its own right in 2014, and La Court is one of its best-known vineyards.
