Description
Gaja Rossj-Bass Langhe 2023 (Angelo Gaja Rossj-Bass, Langhe DOC Chardonnay) is Gaja's Chardonnay from the Langhe, named after Angelo Gaja's youngest daughter Rossana.
Taste and ageing
Flowers, citrus and grapefruit, with body, crisp acidity and a lightly saline, mineral finish. It can be enjoyed now and kept for 10 years or more.
Vineyard and winemaking
The wine is mainly Chardonnay from vineyards in the Langhe, with a small share of Sauvignon Blanc. It is aged for 6–7 months in barrique and shows Gaja's sense of balance and precision.
About Gaja
Gaja was founded in Barbaresco in 1859 and is one of the names that put Piedmont on the world map. Angelo Gaja was among the first in the Langhe to plant international grapes alongside Nebbiolo, and his white wines are today among Italy's finest.
