Taste and ageing

Silky and precise, with citrus, white flowers and round fruit and a long, lightly saline finish. It can be enjoyed now and kept for 8 years or more.

Vineyard and winemaking

Vistamare means sea view. Vermentino, Viognier and Fiano from the vineyards at Castagneto Carducci are made separately in stainless steel, small barrels and concrete before being blended into a white wine with the light and freshness of the coast.

About Ca' Marcanda

Angelo Gaja founded Ca' Marcanda in Bolgheri in 1996, a few years after buying Pieve Santa Restituta in Montalcino. In Piedmontese the name means something like the house of endless negotiations, because it took many meetings to be allowed to buy the land.
