Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2020

Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2020 (Champagne Deutz Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésimé, Champagne AOC) is vintage champagne made from 100% Chardonnay by one of Champagne's classic houses. The 2020 has been rated 97 points by James Suckling and 96 by Falstaff.

Taste and ageing

Fine and precise, with citrus, white flowers and a hint of brioche, carried by small, persistent bubbles. It can be enjoyed now and kept for 10 years or more.

Vineyard and winemaking

The Chardonnay comes mainly from the Côte des Blancs, the chalky heart of Champagne for white grapes. The wine matures for several years on its lees in the house's cellars in Aÿ before release.

About Deutz

Deutz was founded in Aÿ in 1838 and has belonged since 1993 to the Rouzaud family, who also own Louis Roederer. The house is known for a fine, elegant style.

Serve at 8–10 °C in white wine glasses, ideally as the first glass of the evening.
