Le Cinciole Petresco 2020

Le Cinciole Petresco 2020 (Le Cinciole Petresco, Panzano in Chianti) is 100% Sangiovese from one of Chianti Classico's most exciting small producers. The 2020 has been rated 97 points by both Vinous and Doctor Wine.

Taste and ageing

Wild flowers, herbs, menthol and red fruit, elegant and focused, with silky tannins and a long finish. It will keep for 15 years or more.

Vineyard and winemaking

Petresco comes from Le Cinciole's highest vineyard, Vigna Sottobosco, 470–480 metres up in Panzano. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, and the wine ferments spontaneously in cement and matures for two years in cask and one year in cement.

About Le Cinciole

Le Cinciole is a small family estate in Panzano in Chianti, bought in 1991. Panzano is regarded as one of the best places for Sangiovese in Chianti Classico, and Petresco is the estate's top wine.
