Description
Tenuta di Biserno Insoglio del Cinghiale 2020 (Biserno Insoglio, Toscana IGT) is the first wine in Tenuta di Biserno's range and a natural way into the house style. The 2020 has been rated 93 points by James Suckling.
Taste and ageing
Juicy and spicy, with blackcurrant, cherries, violet and pepper, soft tannins and fresh acidity. It is inviting now and will keep for 10 years or more.
Vineyard and winemaking
The wine is mainly Syrah with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from Biserno's vineyards in Bibbona. The name refers to the places in the woods where wild boar wallow in the mud.
About Tenuta di Biserno
Tenuta di Biserno was founded by the brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori in Bibbona, just north of Bolgheri. The estate's wines are built on the Bordeaux grapes with Cabernet Franc at the centre, and Insoglio shows the style in a more immediate form.
