It can be enjoyed now and kept for 20 years or more.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eVineyard and winemaking\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGattinara lies in northern Piedmont at the foot of Monte Rosa, where the soils are volcanic. Nebbiolo, known here as Spanna, gives a tauter and more mineral style than in Barolo. The wine is aged for three years in large Slavonian oak casks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eAbout Nervi-Conterno\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNervi was founded in 1906 and is the oldest producer in Gattinara.
